Indigov Brand Guidelines
Indigov Brand Guidline
After working with Indigov for about 6 months and creating new additions and activations to our branding, I was asked to build out an official brand guideline for us, which we named the Indigov Brand Stimulus Package, following our government naming conventions. For this project I took the lead on conveying the context and history behind the look and voice of Indigov, and defining rules around the use of assets like our logo, typography, colors and imagery. I outlined the topics and rules I wanted to put in the website, and partnered with the rest of the design team to refine and perfect them. In December 2022, we officially launched the site and shared it to all employees, advisors and investors so that we could maintain a stronger, more consistent brand image in every outlet.
The Structure
In each section of the site, I had three basic modules. The first section talked about the context behind the design thinking which lead to choosing these typefaces, or this logo as the final, official direction. This enabled people to see how our brand image connected with our mission of establishing democracy for all. The second module highlighted the do’s and don’ts for each section. I used my knowledge of accessibility standards and design knowledge to share best practices like do not use light text on a light background, or do not stretch our logo or add a drop shadow to it, which helped lower the frequency other teams were coming to ask designers to clean up the content they created using our templates. The third sections took the previous section one step further, and provided successful and on brand activations for each asset.

Branded Templates
In addition to defining all the context behind our brand, I also set out to create templates that included preset layout, type styles and imagery for employees, advisors or investors to quickly pull and edit without having to worry about asking if their layout or composition looked on brand.
